It features an eclectic mix of poetry, short fiction, short nonfiction, and visual art. The journal is available in print, e-book, and online. Burningword has been published continuously since June 2000.

Burningword Literary Journal is a triannual web, print, and digital publication published three times yearly (January 15, April 15, and October 15).

This journal uses a double-blind review, which means that both the reviewer and author identities are concealed from reviewers throughout the review process. Please read the brief guidelines and publishing schedule before submitting.
