Burningword (ISSN 2161-8992 print / ISSN 2157-7366 online) is a quarterly publication focusing on emerging writers of poetry and short fiction. This site contains an extensive collection of fantastic poetry and prose by established authors. Burningword is a non-profit organization, publishing continuously since June 2000.

Burningword accepts poetry and flash fiction submissions for publication. Please read through the brief guidelines and publishing schedule before you submit. Burningword is a quarterly publication with issues published Jan 1, April 1, July 1, and Oct 1. The cut-off date for submissions is the 15th day of the prior month for each quarter.
