Burning Word (ISSN 2161-8992 print / ISSN 2157-7366 online) is a quarterly publication focusing on emerging writers of poetry and short fiction. This site contains an extensive collection of fantastic poetry and prose by established authors. Burning Word is a non-profit organization, publishing continuously since June 2000.

Burning Word accepts poetry and flash fiction submissions for publication. Please read through the brief guidelines and publishing schedule before you submit. Burning Word is a quarterly publication with issues published Jan 1, April 1, July 1, and Oct 1. The cut-off date for submissions is the 15th day of the prior month for each quarter.
