Upward – Daniel Moon
Daniel Moon is a third-culture city dweller, traveller, and avid photographer fascinated by how cities look and feel. Daniel’s photography often focuses on one of the most ordinary features of city life: stairs. He finds them striking yet unsettling. Their lines and scale can make them some of the most visually compelling elements of a building, yet they can also become obstacles for people who cannot use them. Living in and travelling through different cities, Daniel has observed how differently urban spaces are designed and used. His work explores the way culture, design standards, and assumptions about movement through shared spaces shape a city over time.
